LANGUAGE OF SPACE
Let’s finally tear away the misconception of who we are and the BIG WHY of just how crucial this is to Start-Ups, CEO‘s, Entrepreneurs and Business Owners. How does a person obtain the necessary skills needed to maintain and propel a business up the ladder? And do those skillsets change over the years, I think yes, as well as the “character type” leading the charge.
There is no doubt the head of any organization has to have a range of particular skills. Unfortunately in these times it may not be enough, and we have seen this with the replacement of Steve Jobs early in Apple’s climb to the top. Steve came back and mountains were conquered, WHY? What made the difference in his abilities?
Memory plays a large role in WHO WE ARE. So how does this play out in one’s role as an individual, in our social environment and are we really aware of our subjects (you) role during the performance? The performance being the absolute collection of past experiences developed into a composite analysis of collaborative acceptance when engaging in the present moment. Hopefully also updating the data to acknowledge/recognize our future opportunities. Continue reading

Personality of the Year
Along with the Chinese New Year celebration on February 10th, we entered the Year of the Water Snake on February 4th, a year that is said to bring lots of cleverness and intelligence. The energy this year is Yin, bringing in a feminine, more calm and visionary intelligence, along with more sensitive leadership and diplomatic solutions which will help in offsetting potential difficult negotiations around the world.
The Water Snake is symbolized by two elements – water sitting on top of fire, which means they are in opposition to each other, water being in the position of controlling and suppressing fire. With these constraints there is a higher tendency for people to be more impatient and rude with one another. It is important we take time to be aware how we are expressing ourselves, and the impact it will have on others.
With this conflicting relationship we can expect international conflicts and struggles rising throughout the year. With it being a yin year it is more likely unrest will be covert, as water has the personality to be cunning and secretive, and the ability to penetrate anywhere. Outwardly all appears to be relatively calm but considerable tension and hostility can be close to the surface. Continue reading
Believe it or not, this is a profound time of change, not because someone claims it so, but because we as a species demand it. Evolution may be a crude term, but our need for growth is inevitable. When a bug leapt from a pig to a chicken and created bird flu, the animal world announced that they were evolving faster than us humans!
As a collective group, humans are the most powerful force on the face of this earth. What a shame we are not unified.
We, at whatever organization we may belong to, have the opportunity to develop beyond our limitations. Find those connections with those persons/organizations who have reached the next step we are aiming for, to continue on an upscale path. Creating alliances seems to be the flavor in these times, the question is:
(1) Does this create comfort with like minded people
(2) Or does it set up the challenges we need to face, in order to move forward and grow
(3) Have we created a unified team or an alliance of individuals that continues to keep us as we are Continue reading
